About This Settlement

Plaintiffs alleged that Mizuno USA failed to adequately protect consumer data from cybercriminals, resulting in a data breach discovered in November 2024 that allegedly compromised sensitive personal information including Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, driver's license numbers, and passport numbers. Plaintiffs further alleged that Mizuno could have prevented the breach through reasonable cybersecurity measures. Mizuno has agreed to a class action settlement to resolve these claims; this is for informational purposes only and no wrongdoing has been admitted.

Who Qualifies

• You received a data breach notification letter from Mizuno USA informing you that your personal information may have been compromised in the November 2024 data breach
• Your compromised information may have included one or more of the following: name, Social Security number, financial account numbers, driver's license number, or passport number
• The settlement is open to eligible individuals nationwide (Freiburger v. Mizuno USA Inc., Case No. 25EV010647)
• Documentation of losses — such as bank statements, phone bills, receipts, or invoices — may be required to support claims for reimbursement of ordinary or extraordinary losses

What You May Receive

Eligible class members may receive one of the following: reimbursement for ordinary out-of-pocket losses of up to an estimated $475 (with supporting documentation); reimbursement for extraordinary losses related to identity theft or fraud of up to an estimated $5,000 (with supporting documentation); or a pro-rata cash payment estimated at $50 if no documented losses are claimed. All eligible class members may also receive 24 months of one-bureau credit monitoring services with at least $1 million in identity fraud protection at no cost. Actual payout amounts are not guaranteed and will depend on the number of valid claims submitted and available settlement funds.

2. Complete the claim form with your accurate personal information, including details about how you were notified of the data breach.
3. Gather and submit any required supporting documentation for your claimed losses, such as bank statements, phone bills, receipts, or invoices — particularly if you are claiming ordinary or extraordinary loss reimbursement.
4. Submit your completed claim form and all supporting documents by the claim deadline of June 15, 2026. Late submissions may not be accepted.
